Girls Volleyball, 9th and 10th Grade
As a committed player on the volleyball team, I took on the responsibility of encouraging my teammates and fostered a positive atmosphere within the team all season long. I was actively involved in practice drills and training sessions, always aiming to enhance my abilities and contribute to the team's success.
Volunteer Service, 9th and 10th Grade
I frequently helped my family foster dogs. My mom and I took the lead in caring for them, handling most of the responsibilities involved in their care and finding them homes. We engaged in various hands-on tasks like feeding, walking, and cleaning, as well as basic training and addressing behavioral challenges. We also coordinated with potential adopters and ensured the dogs received any necessary medical attention, all while creating a loving environment for these dogs in need. To be honest, we failed with one dog, because we ended up keeping her, which is fondly and commonly coined a "foster fail."
Volunteer Service, 12th Grade
Between volunteering for events with the Community Food Share, Evergreen Animal Protective League (EAPL), and my church, I have served over 30 hours in my senior year alone.
