Nikiski Basketball Spaghetti Feed Fundraiser FEBRUARY 2021
In my Sophomore year of high school, I organized and led a Spaghetti
Feed Fundraiser and Silent Auction to support the basketball program,
successfully raising $2,000 in one night. The event required extensive
planning, including securing donations from local businesses for the
auction and gathering supplies for the dinner.

With 45 days of preparation and meetings, I ensured everything ran smoothly. By virtue of my position, I set the tone for both the team and the retreat itself. I led through example, prayer, meetings, and Mass, encouraging my team to be responsible, meet deadlines, and work together to create a meaningful experience. I also prepared speeches and personal talks to share with the candidates and provided a compassionate listening ear to their experiences, helping to foster an atmosphere of understanding and empathy. This role allowed me to lead others through a transformative spiritual journey, creating a space where personal reflection and community growth could thrive.
