I received the AP Scholar with Distinction award after the 2023 AP tests. I was awarded this honor because I had an average score of 3.5 on all AP exams I have taken, and scores of 3+ on 5 or more exam of these exams. (11th)

I also received a Letter of Commendation from PSAT/NMSQT based on my performance on the 2022 PSAT as a junior. (11th)
Rowing, Rose City Rowing Club:
For my first three years of high school, I practiced almost daily. I consistently pushed my mental and physical fitness. Building team connections was a big part of my experience, I got to row with people of different backgrounds. I was part of the boat that went to Head of the Charles my sophomore year, and my various boats have been consistently recognized in Oregon. I participated from 8th grade to the end of Junior year, when I had some changing circumstances. (8th, 9th, 10th, 11th)

Volleyball:
I played at the club level, at Metro Volleyball Academy, and on the Grant High School JV team through freshman year. Although the school season was mid-COVID, we practiced every day and competed against other high school teams in our league. Through my club team, I participated in clinics, practices, and weekend-long tournaments. On both teams, I played middle hitter. (9th)
MESD Outdoor School:
During my time at Camp Collins, I led the animal studies for groups of 6th graders and was responsible for the safety and management of 6-8 kids during each session. During my sessions, I led observations about various animal pelts and directed a short hike to search for insects. At the end of the week, I received feedback which helped me learn how to teach more effectively. (10th)

Animal Aid PDX:
Every weekend I attended a two-hour shift with other caregivers. During our shift, we performed cleaning and other upkeep so that the cats were happy and the shelter was ready for adopters. This included sweeping, refilling water bowls, and cleaning litter boxes. In our free time, we bonded with shelter cats in their rooms who were not used to socializing with people. (11th)
Constitution Team, Grant High School:
Constitution team is a comprehensive class as well as an activity. We meet 2-3 times a week outside of school to work on our arguments and build up a base of knowledge on constitutional ideas. We write directs answering state-wide questions, analyze cases and historical papers to find evidence, and collaborate to answer questions posed by judges during the competition. I have been able to practice my oration skills and have seen great improvement. We got second place at state and will progress onto nationals in April. (12th)

Oregon Battle of the Books:
OBOB has been a part of my life since I moved to Portland. My team of four close friends meets once a week to practice and plan out our strategy for competition. During the pre-competition process we closely read a set of twelve books. We memorize key details, characters, and dates for later questions in the competition. We have competed at regional and school competitions, and plan to compete at regionals this year. (10th-12th)
Cookie Dough Cafe:
I was a doughrista (team member) at two separate locations for the cafe. I worked in the main storefront as well as the pop-up booth in the Moda Center where I got to work various events. During my time at the cafe, I prepared customer orders, used our POS system, and carefully utilized health standards and food safety practices to create a clean environment. I communicated with a wide array of customers in different situations. (10th-11th)

Holladay Park Plaza Deluxe Senior Living:
Depending on the season I work between eight and sixteen hours each week as a server in our upscale dine-in restaurant. During my time at HPP, I have been able to build connections with older folk which has given me incredible perspective. I have multi-tasked while serving, practiced respectful customer service, and used time management skills to effectively help residents. (12th-current)
